Swift was established in Newbury, Berkshire, in 1989. We started the business armed with a passion for express courier, a single motorcycle and a twelve-year-old Transit van; the Group is now one of the largest and most dynamic privately owned immediate deployment operations in the UK. We have a fleet of over 150 vehicles, ranging from a motorcycle to a 7.5 ton tail-lift lorry. Our wider imprint is boosted to over 700 vehicles when including our partner network of associated fleets, to which we have direct and controlling access.

Located in the heart of Newbury, David Jones and Charles Robinson joined forces in 1998 launched Jones Robinson with just 7 staff and a handful of properties. Since then the company has expanded to almost 80 dedicated members of staff in 5 branches, covering a large area across West Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire.

Newbury BID (Business Improvement District) is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 2012 by local businesses, for local businesses. It is a fully independent, business-led and business-funded Community Interest Company, which exists to allow the 500+ businesses of Newbury Town Centre to work together collaboratively towards a shared vision and purpose.
